Eligibility

The criteria you must meet to purchase or be covered under the insurance plan, such as age limits, residency status, or travel requirements.

Medical Restrictions	Not travelling against physician advice • No terminal illness with less than 2 years prognosis • No kidney dialysis • No home oxygen use within last 12 months • No Alzheimer’s or dementia
Care Facility Restriction	Must not reside in nursing home, long-term care, rehabilitation centre, or require assistance with activities of daily living
Pre-existing Conditions – Plan A	No coverage for medical conditions existing, treated, investigated, or requiring treatment within 180 days before effective date
Pre-existing Conditions – Plan B	Pre-existing conditions must be stable for 180 days before effective date
Medical Questionnaire	Plan B applicants age 40+ must complete medical questionnaire
Waiting Period	48-hour waiting period applies if purchased after arrival in Canada or after expiry of existing Manulife Visitors policy (injuries excluded)
Coverage Limit	Coverage period cannot exceed 365 days

Refunds

Extensions
